Dental assisting students at Ivy Tech Community College-Lafayette invite the public to attend the Fourth Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Sidewalk Carnival on Saturday, April 19, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, on the Lafayette campus located at 3101 S. Creasy Lane. The event raises funds for student scholarships and to support the dental assisting program, while providing community education about the importance of oral health.
Event organizers say that over 30,000 eggs will be “hidden” for age-specific egg hunts. The sidewalk carnival will feature pictures with the Easter Bunny, over forty carnival games, drinks, a bounce house, petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals, dancing characters, clowns, and entertainment. Participating organizations and businesses include Elite Sounds Mobile DJs, the Lafayette Fire Department, Kona Ice, Jump It Party and Play, Mini Golf, Image Orthodontics, Army National Guard, Purdue Federal Credit Union, and many more.
A special free concert by rock and blues band Miller will follow from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
Egg hunt times for each age group are listed below.
Ages 0-2 – 11:30 am
